Theta Microelectronics has been a provider of Intellectual Property (IP) and innovative RF chip designs focused on development of advanced OFDM radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC transceivers) for mobile and fixed wireless broadband data connectivity applications.

 Theta Microelectronics Inc. is the successor of Theta SA, a Greek IC design company founded in 1994 by industry-renown technologists in the field of radio frequency and high-speed mixed-signal ASIC's: Prof. Yannis Tsividis of Columbia University, New York, and Prof. Yannis Papananos of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

 Theta has developed an extensive intellectual property portfolio of proven circuit designs, and has provided its worldwide clients with competitive RFIC solutions and reference designs for the following markets:

• mobile communications

• wireless multimedi

• high performance broadband communications

Theta created some significant and unique RF technologies that address major problems facing the worldwide Mobile Device industry. In order to focus on licensing its technologies and patent portfolio, Theta ceased operations in Athens, Greece and, earlier, in San Jose, California.

Theta Microelectronics is currently headquartered in Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
